Background: Erica Imison started her working life in the oil industry as a process engineer gaining a firm grounding in project management from design work, through planning, procurement and construction, to commissioning and handover.
Experience: With house ownership, Erica has been able to give free rein to her artistic talent for colour, texture and arrangement and develop her practical skills for upholstery and curtain making. She has completely renovated 9 houses, managing the projects herself and working closely with all trades. Living with the results of her renovations, has given Erica a unique insight into what is both aesthetic and practical. Erica has also worked in the antique trade and for Laura Ashley as a Home Furnishings Adviser.
Qualifications: Erica has diplomas in interior design from the well-regarded Ivy House Design School and in traditional upholstery.
Willow House Interiors has undertaken commissions in London and the Home Counties. In this enterprise she is assisted by her husband, who has considerable experience of putting together construction teams for the energy industry and in running a business.
